Dreads for Women

Our dreads for women are dreadlock extensions crocheted by hand: curly boho sets, pastel and bright synthetic dreads, and human hair dreads in natural shades. They go in without growing your own dreads, as a full head or a partial install, and come out again when you want a change.

Which dreads to choose

Curly dreads have a dense crocheted top with Ariel spirals or soft waves below it. They are made of henlon, a heat-resistant fiber, and come double ended (DE). See all curly dreads.

Boho, pastel and coloured synthetic dreads are smooth or textured kanekalon in creamy, honey, pink, lavender, turquoise and emerald tones. Kanekalon holds bright colours well. One install is worn for 1.5–2 months, and a set lasts 2–3 installs.

Human hair dreads are made from 100% Remy hair in platinum, pink and green shades and boho mixes. They take heat, can be dyed darker and last for years. Standard lengths are 25–60 cm, and we make any custom length on request. See all natural dreads.

Full head or partial

For a full head with DE dreads you need 40–45 for thin hair, 50–55 for medium hair and 60–65 for dense hair. With SE dreads you need 45–50, 60–65 and 70–75. Many women choose a partial install instead, on the crown or the back of the head. The dread calculator gives the exact number for your hair and your install.

DE or SE

A DE dread has no loop and folds over a thin braid of your own hair, so one attachment gives two ends and the braid stays hidden. An SE dread has a loop that goes onto a strand of your hair. It gives one end per attachment and suits the face line and the nape.

Care

Wash at most once a week: dilute the shampoo 1:5 with water, apply it to the scalp only and let the dreads air-dry. Skip conditioner, because it loosens the thin braids that hold the dreads. Never comb the dreads. Curly dreads need a quick daily separation with your fingers.
