Forest Green natural dreads are handmade from 100% Remy human hair, available in DE or SE, at 25–60 cm. The dreaded bodies are a deep, earthy moss green, close to natural pigment rather than neon. The loose wavy tips lighten slightly to warm sage. Each dread body carries a thin dark brown thread along its full length, with polymer clay beads and thin glass rings attached.

Each Forest Green dread is crocheted by hand with just a hook and a comb, with no wrapping or felting. Natural sets like this one are made to order. The colour is consistent across the set: a deep green that reads earthy, not artificial. If your hair is black or dark brown, the deep green roots blend into it and hide where each dread attaches. The dark brown thread adds warmth and texture without changing the colour.
Forest Green formats, lengths and set sizes
Forest Green comes as DE or SE. A DE dread has no loop and just folds over a thin braid of your own hair. An SE dread hooks its loop onto a strand of your hair, and that strand is braided around the dread. Both work for length, volume or colour. Forest Green sets hold 10 to 55 dreads and come in eight lengths, from 25 cm (10″) to 60 cm (24″). Most full-head installs need around 40–50 DE dreads. If you only want some green in darker hair, 15–25 dreads are enough. Bold colour over dark hair shows gaps more than natural tones do, so order your full estimate upfront.
Caring for Forest Green
- Washing: No more than once a week. Dilute shampoo at 1:5 with water, use it only on the scalp, and rinse it all out well.
- No conditioner: The dreads sit on thin braids of your own hair, and conditioner makes those braids come loose.
- Tangles: Never comb or brush the dreads. Pull tangled tips apart by hand. If a knot is badly tangled, you may carefully cut it off.
- Colour: A colour-protecting or toning shampoo helps keep the green. Avoid deep-cleansing formulas.
A temporary braid-in install lasts 1.5–2 months; after you take it out, it can go back in. With a permanent crochet install, the dreads are not removed, and the set needs a correction every 3–4 months.

Forest Green pairs well with black, dark brown, deep auburn, chocolate and chestnut bases. Over warm brown hair, a few of these dreads read as deep, natural green highlights. For tonal variation, add a second set of 10–15 SE dreads in olive or a darker green. For strong contrast, combine it with a set of black dreads.
In a high bun, the deep green roots stand out while the wavy sage tips fall at the sides. Worn down, the dreads look bold but earthy. The beads and glass rings catch the light without taking over from the green.
