From espresso root to copper tip
This ombre set is made from Remy human hair sourced in Russia (what is Remy hair?). The cuticles are aligned, so every strand runs in the same direction. Read our guide to attachment styles before you choose a format.
A crochet hook and a comb are the only tools our makers need to form every dread by hand. We never use machines or wrapping to make them. Every natural set is crafted once you order it. In more than 13 years, we have made and shipped over 5,000 sets from our studio. A maker with more than ten years of experience gives every set its final check before shipping.
The ombre has three zones: dark espresso at the root, warm cinnamon brown through the body and copper-ginger at the tip. The loose ends are left undreaded and wavy. Their copper tone catches the light differently from the dreaded section above. The beads and golden thread wraps add earthy detail without competing with the colour. The beads you receive may look different from those in the photos.
You can order Dark Brown to Copper Ombre in either of two formats. With no loop at all, each DE dread is folded over a thin braid of your own hair. An SE dread has a loop at its end that slips onto a single strand of your hair. That strand is then braided around the dread to hold it. Both formats add length, volume or colour. See every colour and length we offer in our natural dreads collection. Extension is the permanent format: the dreads are crocheted into your own dreads and stay in, with a correction every 3–4 months.
Sets hold 10 to 55 dreads and come in eight lengths, from 25 cm (10″) up to 60 cm (24″). A full-head install usually takes 40–50 DE dreads. A partial install needs around 20–30. The dark root blends into warm brunette and dark natural hair.
A temporary braid-in install of this set lasts 1.5–2 months. Then the dreads come out, and you can put them back in at a later date. A permanent crochet install stays in for good and needs a correction every 3–4 months. Wash once a week. Dilute shampoo at one part to five parts water and apply it only to your scalp.
Do not use conditioner. The dreads are held by thin braids of your own hair, and conditioner makes those braids come loose. A toning shampoo helps keep the copper and cinnamon tones. Avoid clarifying formulas that strip pigment.

This set mixes well with deep auburn, warm red-brown or dark espresso sets. To combine colours, you buy a second set together with Dark Brown to Copper Ombre. One option is to anchor the roots with 10 or 15 extra dreads in plain dark brown. A lighter warm-copper colourway in the lower section adds depth and keeps the palette warm.
Pull the darker roots into a high bun and let the copper tips frame the face. Or wear the dreads loose to show the whole gradient.
Wear, remove, reinstall
With a temporary install, the set can be taken out and put in again. Remove it carefully, let it air-dry flat and store it loosely. The ombre stays the same from one reinstall to the next. Some customers wear the same set for years.
We shot every photo in natural daylight while avoiding direct sun. Copper and cinnamon tones can look more golden or more red on different screens. Small batch variation is normal in natural human hair.

Never comb or brush your dreads. If the tips tangle, separate them gently with your fingers. If a knot is very tangled, you may carefully snip it off.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I keep the copper tips of the Dark Brown to Copper Ombre set from fading?
The espresso root is a deep natural shade. Sun can soften the copper tips over time. Some customers find that the slight warming suits the gradient. A warm-toning shampoo helps keep the tone. Before spending a long time in the sun, apply a UV hair spray.
Does the Dark Brown to Copper Ombre transition look natural or harsh?
The three zones blend into each other: espresso root, cinnamon body, copper-ginger tip. There is no hard line. The transition looks like naturally sun-lightened hair.
Can I make the copper tips of this ombre more or less intense?
Yes. This is real hair, so standard dye works. A warm-toned semi-permanent dye on the tips deepens the copper. A darker deposit brings them closer to the brown body. Always do a strand test first.
Which natural hair colour does the Dark Brown to Copper Ombre set blend with?
On black, chestnut or dark brown hair, the espresso root blends in and hides where the dreads are attached. On lighter hair, the dark root gives bolder contrast, which some people prefer.
DE or SE: which format suits the Dark Brown to Copper Ombre set?
- DE: choose it for fuller volume across a complete install of 40–50 dreads. The ombre runs across every dread.
- SE: suits a partial install of 20–30 dreads with less volume. The copper tips work as scattered highlights.
Is the Dark Brown to Copper Ombre set in stock?

Can I order this ombre with a different gradient or decorations?
Yes. We can shift the zones, with lighter roots or deeper copper tips, or add a third accent colour. We can also swap the barrel beads, the galaxy-speckle bead or the thread wraps. Send us a photo of your hair, and we can match the gradient to it. We will send progress photos before shipping. Email daniladaddydread@gmail.com.
