Blonde & Pink dreads are natural DE or SE dreads of 100% Remy human hair, made by hand in platinum blonde and soft pastel pink, 25–60 cm. Choose a permanent crochet install, or braid them in temporarily. The pink is muted, not neon, and the blonde dreads balance it.

Blonde & Pink dreads: colour and hair
The blonde dreads are made from undyed Russian Remy human hair, so the platinum colour is their own (what is Remy hair?). The pink dreads are dyed in our studio to a soft pastel tone. Because this is real hair, the pink will soften gradually with washing. A pink toning shampoo every 2–3 washes refreshes it.
The surface is slightly textured: not fully smooth, not heavily bumpy. The ends have loose wavy free hair in matching pink and blonde. The set comes with white wooden beads, silver rose pendants and thread wraps in pale tones. Expect your beads to look a little different from those pictured.
How the Blonde & Pink dreads are made
A crochet hook and a comb are the only tools we use, and each dread is made by hand. We start work on a natural set once you order it. A maker with more than ten years of experience checks every set one final time before it ships. Our studio has been at work for over 13 years and has shipped more than 5,000 sets in that time.
Blonde & Pink dreads: formats, lengths and set sizes
DE dreads have no loop; each one is folded over a thin braid of your own hair. SE dreads are different: each has a loop that goes onto a single strand of your hair. Extension is the permanent format: the dreads are crocheted into your own dreads and stay in, with a correction every 3–4 months.
Lengths run from 25 cm (10 inches) to 60 cm (24 inches) in 5 cm steps. Set sizes start at 10 dreads and go up by 5, to a maximum of 55. A full head usually takes 40–50 DE dreads. If you want pink accents here and there, 20–30 dreads in a partial install is a good fit.
A temporary braid-in install of the Blonde & Pink dreads lasts 1.5–2 months. Then the dreads come out, and you can put them back in later. Let them dry flat in the air between installs. A permanent crochet install is never taken out; it just needs a correction every 3–4 months.
Caring for the Blonde & Pink dreads
- Washing: no more than once a week. Dilute shampoo 1:5 with water, massage it into your scalp and rinse it all out well.
- No conditioner: the dreads sit on thin braids of your own hair, and conditioner makes those braids loosen.
- Tangles: never use a comb or brush on the dreads. Use your fingers to pull tangled ends apart. A badly tangled knot can be carefully cut off.
- Colour: the dreads can be dyed to a darker shade, but do not bleach them. Heat styling works with a heat protectant.

Every 3–4 months, a pass with a crochet hook keeps the surface neat. You can do it yourself or visit a loctician.

You can combine this set with other shades from the full natural dreads collection. For example, add 10 dreads of this set to an all-blonde set for small pops of colour. Or scatter them through darker tones for more contrast. Each set stays as it is, so you buy the second set separately.
