The client already wore black roots blending into cool grey — Nastya matched that transition exactly with our Black Grey Ombre set, so the point where her natural hair meets the new dreads doesn’t read as a join. That’s the whole aim of picking a set close to the base color rather than trying to build contrast on top of it.
The install itself used the classic braid-in method. Nastya worked section by section, keeping the base braids flat against the scalp so nothing bulks up under the dreads once the set settles in for a week.
