Boiling water sealed dread extensions: how Bloodmoon ridges hold for years

High-grade Henlon and Kanekalon fiber with a boiling-water-set bumpy surface. Lightweight on the head, holds its organic ridged texture across months of wear without any product.

Care for kanekalon textured dreads — wash, store, sleep

Wash once a week max — dilute shampoo 1:5, scalp only, air-dry afterward. Do not comb or brush the textured dreads — gently separate any tangled tips with your fingers to preserve the bumpy surface. Skip conditioner: it softens the ridges. Avoid saunas and hot blow dryers; the ridged finish is permanent but not heat-proof. At night, gather into a loose braid or bonnet. Bloodmoon ships in Double Ended (DE) format only. Each dread folds around a small natural-hair braid in a U-bend, with both ends falling freely and the raw straight tips visible at the bottom. Full head install runs 40-50 pieces; partial accent installs use 20-30 DE pieces. The braid-in method distributes weight across many small anchor points — the safer install approach for fine hair.
