Description
Black Boho Curly is a set of single-ended (SE) curly synthetic dreads, 60 cm long, made by hand from heat-resistant henlon in a soft natural black (1B). Each dread has a crocheted root with soft henlon waves falling below it. The roots hold a tight crocheted dread, and the ends fall into loose, undulating waves. That contrast makes the set look like real locs loosening at the ends.
Each piece has two zones. The upper 20–22 cm is a dense hand-crocheted dread. The lower 38–40 cm opens into soft, flowing waves. A short two-centimetre fade bridges the change, so each strand looks like a mature loc growing out.

Black Boho Curly colour: soft natural black
The colour is a solid black 1B in one tone. It is a soft natural black rather than jet black, so it is easy to wear every day. The finish is matte, not glossy. We took these photos in natural daylight, out of direct sunlight. Your screen may show the black a little deeper or lighter.
Soft waves over a crocheted root
The curl type is a soft wave, not a spiral. It is gentler and more flowing than a tight curl, closer to a beach-wave fall below a dreaded root. The wave is built into the fibre, so you don’t need to curl it again.
The whole set is made of henlon, a high-temperature, heat-resistant fibre. The maker crochets each root by hand with a 0.4 mm hook. The waves are then left to fall loose below.

Boho decorations, layered not cluttered
Along the dread sections, thread wraps in brown, white and cream cross over each other in an X-pattern. Small white lace ribbons hang in the transition zone. Round white wooden beads sit at irregular intervals. Some strands carry silver pendants on jump rings: a crescent moon and a tree-of-life medallion. Your beads may differ from the ones in the photos.
Format, length and coverage
Black Boho Curly uses the single-ended (SE) format. At the top of every dread is a loop, which you slip onto a strand of your own hair. You then braid that strand around the dread. The wavy end falls freely below. Each dread is 60 cm and lands around mid-back on most people. Most people need 60–75 pieces for a full head, depending on head size and hair thickness.
Black Boho Curly: wear, care and reuse
- Separate by hand: curly dreads need attentive care, so separate the curls gently with your fingers.
- No comb or brush: keep combs and brushes away from both the dreads and the curls.
- Tangles: pull them apart with your fingers. If a knot is badly tangled, you may cut it off carefully.
- Skip conditioner: it loosens the thin braids of your own hair that the dreads are attached to.
- Night protection: to reduce friction on the wavy ends, wear a satin bonnet or tie the set in a loose low braid.

the soft wavy ends give that lived in look without me having to grow them out for years. the loose curl really makes them look authentic, no plastic shine at all which is the main thing for me. only complaint is the smell when i first opened the package was a bit strong but went away after a day or two airing out
