Description
Ash Pink Grey is a set of handmade DE or SE textured dreads, 50 or 60 cm, in low-temperature kanekalon. The four tones are grey, pink-grey, ash-grey and ash-pink. They sit side by side, with no colour blending between dreads.
Pink and white thread X-wraps and silver metallic beads sit on the bumpy surface. Thin three-strand braids complete a set that suits boho styling.

Textured Dreads That Look Like Mature Locs
Many synthetic dreads have a flat, polished surface. That works for some installs, but it does not look like a mature natural loc. This set has a ridged, bumpy surface instead.

How the Ash Pink Grey Set Is Made
We make every Ash Pink Grey dread by hand, working with a crochet hook and a comb. The kanekalon is backcombed for volume. Next comes hand crocheting with a 0.4 mm hook, or a 0.6 mm hook for thicker dreads. Finally, boiling water fixes the relief.
Making a textured set by hand takes 1–3 days. No molds or machines are used. From root to tip, each dread keeps a thickness of 0.8–1 cm.
Pure grey dreads give a cool neutral base. Pink-grey sits between muted rose and stone. Ash-grey reads as smoked silver. Ash-pink leans warmer: a dusty blush with a grey undertone.
Pink and white thread X-wraps run in a cross-stitch pattern. Silver metallic beads catch the light along the ridges. Your beads might not match the ones shown in the photos. For every 10 DE (or 20 SE), you also get one thin three-strand braid.

DE or SE Format, Wear and Care
- DE: the dread is folded over a thin braid made from your own hair. It has no loop.
- SE: a loop on the dread slips onto a strand of your hair. That strand is then braided around the dread.

Most full-head installs need 40–50 DE. To blend a few textured dreads into your own hair, 20–30 are enough. To mix palettes or textures, add another set, such as 10 or 20 dreads of a different one. Browse the full textured dreadlock extensions collection.
Wear each install for 1.5–2 months, then take the dreads out. One set lasts 2–3 installs. Store it in a dry place. You can put the set back in straight away, with no rest needed.
Wash at most once a week. Dilute shampoo with water at 1:5 and apply it only to the scalp. Let the dreads air dry. Do not use conditioner, because it loosens the thin braids that hold the dreads.
Never comb or brush the dreads. Separate tangles with your fingers. A badly tangled knot can be cut off, as long as you do it carefully. Heat above 60–70 °C damages low-temperature kanekalon, because this fiber is not heat-resistant. Avoid saunas, heat styling and other strong heat. We shot the colours in diffused daylight, so they may look warmer or cooler on your screen. The colour goes into the fiber at the moment it is made. Fading is not an issue, and the shade matches from one batch to the next.

Four tones all blended super nice, way better than i thought from the photos. The pink is muted not Barbie pink, perfect for me at 32, would have looked a bit silly otherwise. Shipped to Milano in about 2 weeks and a half but the box arrived a bit destroyed by the post (Italian post is a disaster as we all know), inside everything was perfect though. My boyfriend asked if they were real for like a week before i told him, the man notice nothing hahaha.
