Description
Red Black Curly Dreads is a set of 50–55 cm double-ended curly synthetic dreads, made by hand from heat-resistant henlon in black 1B and red. Every 10 DE contain six black curly dreads, three red curly dreads and one red braid. The curls are Ariel spirals.
Full red can overwhelm, and a few red highlights get lost among darker shades. A fixed colour split keeps both tones visible from every angle. Black anchors the look, and red catches the eye.

The black and red split in Red Black Curly Dreads
The six black curly dreads in every ten form the base. The shade is 1B, a soft natural black rather than jet black. It sits calmly next to the red and lets it stand out.
The three red curly dreads are a saturated crimson. In warm light the red looks cherry-toned, and under fluorescent light it leans cooler.
The braid uses the same red in a tight three-strand plait. It carries silver-tone pendants on jump-rings, with no thread wraps. The red-on-black contrast does the rest.

A DE dread has no loop; it simply folds over a thin braid of your own hair. The curls fall in both directions, so ten installed pieces give 20 spiral ends.
Caring for Red Black Curly Dreads
The red strands need a little more attention. Black hides lint and dust well. Red shows every particle, and residue from hard water or product buildup dulls it.
Wash the scalp zone with well-diluted sulfate-free shampoo, squeezing gently. Rinse with cool water until the suds are gone. Skip conditioner, since it loosens the thin braids of your own hair that hold the dreads.
Gently soak up the water with a towel, and do not twist or wring the dreads. Let them air dry fully before sleeping, and skip hot drying tools. Wait about two weeks after installing before the first wash.
Keep combs and brushes away from the dreads at all times. Separate stuck curls with your fingers. A badly tangled knot can be cut off, as long as you do it with care. A loose pineapple gather or a satin cap at night reduces friction on the red strands.
One install lasts 1.5–2 months, and a set lasts 2–3 installs. When you take the set out, undo the braids with care. Then coil it loosely and store it in a cloth bag away from direct light.
To mix, add another set alongside this one. The red pieces sit well next to burgundy or wine-toned dreads, and the black pieces blend with dark smooth sets.
